Casal do Ramilo. The Lizandro River Valley
What’s so special about it?
Think of morning clouds, fresh atlantic breezes and cool nights. Add another thought: hot summer afternoons, provided by sheltered steep slopes of limestone rocks, with dazzling views to the Sintra Mountains. This is how our grapes grow at this estate: slowly, with no rush, the perfect balance between freshness and ripeness.

Quinta do Cameijo. Ungrafted Terroir
People say great wines are born from difficult conditions. Colares is as harsh as it gets. Dry soils, strong Atlantic winds, high humidity and heavily clouded weather. At Quinta do Cameijo, the ungrafted vines grow lower than usual, near the ground, sheltered by the warmth of the region’s sandy soils. These are handcrafted vines, old fashion viticulture.
But it’s worth it! These wines can age for decades. Fresh, salty and mineral, with a fascinating complexity.
